Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science, organized a workshop entitled “Mathematics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Orouas Khaled Hamid, Dr. Amal Safih Ajrash, and Ms. Zahraa Hamid.
The workshop addressed the role of mathematics in the modern era and its applications in financial transactions, including money management, profit and loss assessment, and accounting systems. It also highlighted the importance of mathematical logic in problem-solving and in making sound, evidence-based decisions.
In addition, the workshop examined the relationship between mathematics and engineering, particularly in architecture and the organization of spaces and geometric forms within the surrounding environment, which are governed by precise mathematical ratios and calculations. Furthermore, it emphasized the impact of mathematics on scientific and technological advancement, illustrating how modern computing and contemporary sciences are fundamentally based on mathematical equations that have significantly contributed to facilitating daily life and reducing time and effort in practical tasks.
