Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific workshop entitled “Recent Trends in Using Deep Learning Techniques to Enhance the Performance of Evolutionary Algorithms.” The workshop was presented by Ms. Hiba Samir Saeed, who presented the latest approaches and techniques in the field of deep learning and explored their role in supporting and advancing evolutionary algorithms, thereby improving their efficiency in solving complex problems.

The workshop included a comprehensive scientific presentation on the concept of deep learning as a major branch of artificial intelligence, highlighting the mechanisms through which deep learning techniques can be integrated with evolutionary algorithms to achieve more accurate, efficient, and robust solutions. In addition, the presenter reviewed a range of practical applications that demonstrate the significance of these technologies across various domains, including data analysis, predictive modeling, and the optimization of computational models.

The workshop further emphasized the potential of combining deep learning and evolutionary computation to address complex real-world challenges and to improve the performance of intelligent systems.
