Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Kdhim, the Postgraduate Studies Division of the College of Science for Women, in collaboration with the Department of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad and in coordination with the Continuing Education Unit of the College, organized a workshop entitled “Regulations Governing Application and Admission to Postgraduate Studies in Iraq for the Academic Year 2026–2027.”

The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad, and was presented by Dr. Yusra Abdul Sahib Saif Al-Din, with the participation of Ms. Manal Jabbar Salman,  Ms.Udhra Khairi Abdul Aoun, and Ms. Yusra Nasser Mohsen. The event was held in the Conference Hall and was attended by a number of postgraduate studies officials from various university colleges and formations.

The workshop aimed to highlight the most important regulations and requirements governing admission to postgraduate studies within Iraq. These regulations were explained in detail, alongside clarifications regarding study leave provisions for employees working in public and private institutions. The workshop also addressed a number of special cases that applicants may encounter and provided an overview of the approved application channels and procedures.

Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the importance of accuracy and integrity when entering applicants’ information and data into the electronic application system, ensuring compliance with the established admission procedures.

The workshop concluded by stressing the importance of adhering to the approved regulations and instructions governing postgraduate admissions, given their vital role in ensuring transparency and upholding the principle of equal opportunities among applicants.
