Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khidm, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Biology, organized a workshop entitled “Oral Presentation in Biology.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Sanaria Abbas Al-Allaq and Dr. Sumaya Fadil. It aimed to develop oral presentation skills among students and researchers in the field of life sciences, as well as to enhance their ability to communicate scientific ideas in a clear and well-structured manner.
The workshop covered several key topics, focusing on the fundamentals of preparing scientific presentations and the systematic organization of content. It also addressed effective delivery techniques, audience engagement strategies, and the use of visual aids to present information in an accurate and appealing way. In addition, practical examples and applied methods were provided to help participants improve their performance in oral presentations during scientific conferences and seminars.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing oral presentation skills among students and researchers, given their significant role in supporting academic progress and improving the quality of scientific research dissemination.
