Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Scientific Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Computer Science Department, organized a workshop entitled “Mathematics and Computing: Future Tools for Solving Complex Problems.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Auras Khalid Hamid and Dr. Amal Safih Ajrash. It aimed to highlight the importance of integrating mathematics and computing in developing innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.
The workshop addressed several key themes, including the role of mathematical modeling in analyzing complex problems and the significance of computational techniques in accelerating solution processes and supporting decision-making.
Furthermore, practical applications were presented to demonstrate how algorithms and modern software can be employed across various fields. The workshop also emphasized the role of these tools in supporting scientific research and enhancing students’ analytical and systematic thinking skills.
The workshop concluded by stressing the importance of developing the skills of students and researchers in the fields of mathematics and computing, enabling them to keep pace with technological advancements and contribute to effective solutions for scientific and practical problems.
