Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Department of Biology organized a field visit to the student dormitories. This initiative was undertaken as part of the department’s commitment to strengthening channels of communication with its female students residing in the dormitories, as well as to gain insight into their living and academic conditions and identify their most prominent needs.
The visit included the distribution of Ramadan food baskets to a number of students, in a humanitarian initiative that reflects the spirit of solidarity and compassion that characterizes the holy month of Ramadan. The visit also involved listening to the students and closely identifying their needs and requirements, while providing moral support, thereby enhancing their sense of care and attention from the college community.
This initiative reaffirms the Department of Life Sciences’ commitment to promoting the values of cooperation and social solidarity, and to strengthening the relationship between the college and its students, in a manner that fosters a supportive and motivating university environment conducive to their academic progress.
