Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim , the Agricultural Unit organized an afforestation campaign on the occasion of the National Tree Planting Day, observed on March 12, with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the college.
The campaign aimed to enhance environmental awareness, promote a culture of tree planting, and preserve green spaces within the university campus, given their important role in improving the campus environment, reducing pollution, and increasing natural areas that contribute to providing a healthy and aesthetically pleasing learning environment.
The campaign included planting a number of trees and plants in the college gardens and walkways, as part of supporting environmental initiatives that contribute to strengthening environmental sustainability and fostering the spirit of volunteerism among students. The campaign concluded with an emphasis on the importance of afforestation in preserving the university environment and improving air quality, as well as reinforcing a culture of volunteer work and environmental responsibility among students and staff.
