Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim , the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Research”, presented by Dr. Safaa Sami Abdul-Jabbar, Ms. Inas Ahmed Abdul, and Ms. Alyaa Adel Felfel.

The workshop addressed the significance of employing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to support and advance scientific research, highlighting how these technologies provide advanced tools that enable researchers to analyze data with greater speed and accuracy and to derive scientific results more efficiently. The presenters also reviewed a range of modern AI applications applicable to various fields of scientific research, in addition to introducing key software programs and digital tools that facilitate data collection and analysis.

Moreover, the workshop emphasized the role of AI in accelerating the completion of scientific studies, enhancing the quality of academic research, and strengthening the skills of students and researchers in utilizing modern technologies in line with rapid scientific and technological developments. The workshop concluded by underscoring the importance of integrating AI technologies into scientific research due to their effective contribution to supporting the research process, developing the competencies of students and researchers, and achieving more precise and efficient scientific outcomes.
