Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim , the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, organized a training course entitled “Development of Modern Programming Languages”, presented by Dr. Oros Khalid, Dr. Amal Safih, and Dr. Woldan Jamil.

The course aimed to introduce the significance of modern programming languages and their role in developing applications and computer systems, while highlighting the most prominent programming technologies currently in use. It covered the fundamentals of several modern programming languages and their application in designing various software and programs, as well as demonstrating their role in supporting technological innovation and keeping pace with the rapid developments in computer science.

The course included presentations on key concepts in modern programming, supplemented with practical examples that enhance programming skills among students and researchers, enabling them to understand software development mechanisms more efficiently and flexibly, in alignment with the demands of the labor market and technological advancements. The course concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing students’ and researchers’ skills in modern programming languages and their role in supporting scientific research and enhancing technical capabilities to keep pace with the fast-evolving world of technology.
