A group of distinguished faculty members from the University of Baghdad, College of Science for Women, participated in a specialized workshop organized by the Minister’s Office / Quality Management Department at the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Administrative and Financial Directorate / Human Resources Department. The workshop was attended by the Deputy Director General of the Administrative Directorate and a number of ministry staff and their divisions. It was entitled: “Implementing a Smart System for Work Performance Evaluation and Job Analysis Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies.”
The workshop was presented by Dr. Safa Sami Abdul Jabbar, Dr. Asil Hussein Ali, and Dr. Shireen Oud Dakhil. It aimed to highlight mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies in evaluating job performance, supporting decision-making processes, improving human resource management efficiency, and promoting principles of fairness and objectivity in evaluations, in line with administrative development and digital transformation requirements in government institutions.
Additionally, the workshop covered advanced topics in workplace environment analysis and identification of occupational risks, emphasizing the importance of adopting smart systems for diagnosing challenges and developing appropriate solutions. This contributes to improving working conditions, enhancing occupational health and safety standards, and raising institutional productivity levels.
Among the key recommendations emphasized at the conclusion of the workshop was the importance of integrating academic expertise with institutional applications to support digital transformation projects. The workshop stressed the necessity of adopting intelligent solutions and developing staff skills to keep pace with modern technological advancements in government administration.
This workshop is part of the Ministry of Finance’s ongoing efforts to modernize its administrative systems, implement governance concepts, and build a smart and sustainable work environment, thereby enhancing institutional performance quality and improving the efficiency of financial institutions.
