The College of Science for Women was honored by the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, accompanied by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf. The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, accompanied by the Dean’s assistants and a number of department heads, lecturers and affiliates.
The visit included a tour of the various departments of the college, where the delegation was briefed on the latest projects and ongoing scientific research. It also visited the new building of the college, which includes modern laboratories and advanced university facilities that keep pace with international standards in higher education.
During the tour, His Excellency the Minister expressed his admiration for the academic and scientific level of the college, praising the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in improving the university environment and providing distinguished educational services to female students. He also stressed the importance of providing an educational environment that encourages scientific research and innovation.
For his part, the President of the University of Baghdad stressed the importance of these visits in enhancing communication between the ministry and academic institutions, stressing the support of colleges to achieve further development in various specializations.
In turn, the Dean of the College expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister and the President of the University for their continuous support, stressing that this visit represents an opportunity to review the academic and scientific achievements, and to identify the needs of the College to develop a better educational environment.
The attendees also discussed ways to develop the educational process, expressing their commitment to achieving the Ministry’s vision of improving the quality of higher education and enhancing the status of Iraqi universities at the regional and international levels.
