Library Unit

The library of the Faculty of Science for Girls was established after its separation from the College of Education for Girls on 24-6-2012. The library contains a set of scientific books, references and periodicals in Arabic and English, and there are theses completed in the Faculty of Science for Girls in its departments (life sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics) and received to the library theses within the process of scientific and cultural exchange from universities of Arab countries such as the University of Damascus, as well as scientific journals that are received to the library within the process of scientific exchange with all universities of the country and universities of some Arab countries and in return the college presents a copy of its magazine entitled (Baghdad Journal of Science).

Unit tasks
  1. The college enhances its resources of scientific books annually by investing the amounts allocated for the purchase of books within the college budget and books are purchased for the central library of the college and all departments of the college. It is newly printed for graduate and primary students, as well as books and periodicals received from the General Secretariat of the Central Library – University of Baghdad, and some international organizations that gift newly printed scientific books to be accessible to library visitors. The library organizes a number of scientific book exhibitions, which provide many modern scientific resources for graduate and primary students and professors. In the central library of the college, there is a hall with free internet lines for graduate students only, as a contribution from the Deanship of the College in supporting the scientific process and scientific development of our dear students. The library also contains a large number of scientific and literary books as well as theses and periodicals.
