The B.S. degree in biology prepare graduates to work in the various fields of biology sciences and interactions on the ground in developing and improving the efficiency of performance by fulfilling the requirements of the labor market and society in terms of skills and knowledge.
Preparing specialists with a high scientific qualification (PhD, MA, and high diploma) and scientific experience to help them solve biological problems and provide scientific advice.

Chemistry Department
Why Study Chemistry?
Chemistry ranges from the study of the structure of atoms and molecules to that of the reactions occurring in living organisms. The study of chemistry can provide knowledge that will give students a greater understanding and appreciation of the world in which they live. In addition, knowledge of chemistry is a great asset in areas such as biology, physics, and health-related fields.
The Department of Chemistry grands a B.S. degree in chemistry after fulfilment of (148) credit scores over a period of four years study.
The Department of Chemistry grants a Ph.D. (in the specialization of bio- chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry) after passing (36) study units distributed over (26) units for course materials and (10) units for the dissertation.
The department also grants an MSc degree in (bio–chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and physical chemistry) after passing (32) study units distributed over (22) units for course materials and (10) units for the thesis.

Physics Department
Since its establishment, the Department of Physics has a distinguished scientific reputation within Iraqi universities, and in general, the department devotes capabilities to maintain the highest scientific level, as the department provides a wide study and research program within the specialization of altitude.
The department grants graduates a bachelor’s degree in physics by giving practical and theoretical lessons as well as scientific research in almost all branches of physics, as the subjects taught during the four academic years.
The Department of Physics awards a bachelor’s degree in physics/ general after passing 140 units of study distributed over 4 years. The Department of Physics also grants a bachelor’s degree in physics / medicine after passing 140 units of study spread over 4 years.
