Students with Special Needs Unit
The Unit for Students with Special Needs is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive university environment that enables students with special needs to actively engage in academic and social life. The unit strives to ensure equal opportunities in education, training, and participation in various university activities, while promoting their full integration into the university community.
Unit Objectives
- Define the general framework for the services provided by the Guidance Unit for the Care of Students with Special Needs.
- Establish strategic partnerships with associations, centers, and specialized organizations concerned with supporting individuals with special needs.
- Design and implement guidance and training programs for students with special needs.

- Communicate directly with students with special needs to identify their individual circumstances and provide the necessary accommodations and support.
- Coordinate and maintain communication between the Deanship of Student Affairs, college deanships, and other relevant administrative bodies regarding matters related to students with special needs.
- Organize meetings between students with special needs and the Deanship of Student Affairs to introduce the services available to them and identify their requirements and needs.
- Encourage and facilitate their participation in all available programs, including training courses, extracurricular activities, and events and occasions dedicated to them.
- Conduct workshops to raise faculty members’ awareness of the needs of students with special needs and to facilitate the fulfillment of their academic and social requirements.
- Maintain an individual follow-up file for each student to monitor academic progress and address any deficiencies that may arise during their academic journey at the university.
