Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women , Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit organized a workshop entitled “Passing the Personal Interview for Employment”, presented by Ms. Hoda Qasim Hamza and Ms. Lena Nasser Dheyaa , in the presence of a number of students and graduates interested in developing their job skills.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with the basic skills for success in job interviews, by highlighting the importance of good preparation for the interview, and how to answer common questions that may be asked of job applicants. The workshop also addressed strategies for dealing with psychological pressure during the interview, and the importance of body language in enhancing self-confidence and effective communication with hiring managers.
The workshop also included practical advice on the evaluation methods adopted by employers, how to improve performance during the interview, in addition to follow-up techniques after the interview to enhance the chances of obtaining the job.
This workshop comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the eighth goal related to economic growth and providing decent job opportunities, as it seeks to enable female students and graduates to enter the labor market with competitive skills that enhance their chances of obtaining suitable jobs
