Under the patronage of Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Dean of the College of Science for Women, and under the slogan “Do not close your mind with the darkness of extremism, but illuminate it with the light of moderation,” Department of Media and Governmental Communication organized an awareness campaign aimed at combating extremism and promoting a culture of moderation and peaceful coexistence among members of society.
The campaign targeted the staff and female students of the college in various scientific departments and highlighted the dangers of extremism and the need to confront it with enlightened thinking. The campaign included various educational activities such as designing and distributing awareness posters and brochures, which carried information and practical guidelines to counter extremist ideologies and promote the values of tolerance and acceptance of others.
The brochures also included tips for female students on how to handle everyday situations that may require them to be aware and act wisely, contributing to the creation of a cohesive society based on mutual respect.
The brochures were distributed in key locations within the college, where they received a great deal of attention from students, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative that highlights a significant societal issue.
This campaign is considered a pioneering step toward spreading cultural and social awareness within the college and open society
