Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the college organized an awareness seminar titled “Drugs and Their Impact on Humans.” The seminar was presented by:
• The Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs: Assistant Prof. Dr. Adel Hussein Taleb
• The Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs: Assistant Prof. Dr. Yousra Abdul Sabeh
• Ms. Hanan Muhi Naif

The seminar was attended by the Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suad Hisham Hamid, in addition to a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education.

This seminar aimed to strengthen efforts to combat drug abuse and raise awareness of its dangers to individuals and society. It addressed the negative effects of drugs on various health, social, and economic levels, and highlighted the role of the family, school, and community in preventing addiction.

The seminar also discussed the importance of early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment for addicts, emphasizing the need for collective efforts from various institutions to combat the spread of this phenomenon. It stressed the importance of awareness and support programs that the state should adopt to address this issue.

The seminar witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, with many questions and inquiries discussed regarding prevention and treatment methods, reflecting the community’s awareness of the seriousness of this issue and its concern for it
