Under the patronage of Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Sciences for Women, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit organized a logo design competition for its unit on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024, in the conference hall, with the presence of department heads, faculty members, staff, and students of the college. The event began with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of the martyrs, and the national anthem. Then, the head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, Dr. Safa Sami Abdul-Jabbar, delivered the opening speech, welcoming the attendees and explaining the significance of the competition. The goal was to select a logo that reflects the unit’s vision and enhances its visual identity, aiming to raise awareness of its activities and services in supporting students and graduates through professional and employment guidance. The head of the unit also reviewed the criteria adopted in the design, such as simplicity and the ability to express the unit’s values, including skill development and providing job opportunities. Students from various scientific departments participated in the competition, and the winning design was chosen by a judging panel consisting of a group of faculty members. At the end of the event, the winning student was awarded a Distinguished Shield, and certificates of appreciation were distributed to all participants in the competition
