1. Postgraduate studies in the scientific departments began in 1993-1994 when it was within the College of Education for Girls and continued in it when the college was divided and included the scientific departments in the College of Science for Girls. The mechanism of admission to postgraduate studies (masters and doctorates) in our college is carried out in accordance with the instructions and admission controls issued by the presidency of the university – graduate studies annually. The college seeks to raise the level of graduate studies and scientific research, by providing supplies and cooperation with scientific institutions in other ministries to address the challenges facing our country according to scientific foundations. The departments (Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics) grant master’s and doctoral degrees, and the Department of Mathematics grants a master’s degree. Submission is limited to females only, in addition to the fact that the system followed in the study is the semester system (two semesters) in the academic year.

1. Granting a PhD Degree: The Division of Graduate Student Affairs grants the graduate a PhD in the specializations prescribed in the departments (Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) as follows:
   • Department of Life Sciences: (Botany, Microbiology, (Genetics until 2015/2016) Now this major, Zoology, Ecology is suspended)
   • Department of Chemistry: (Organic, Inorganic, Analytical, Biological, Physical)
   • Department of Physics: (Laser and Optics, Nuclear and Environmental (currently suspended this major), Theory and Molecular (currently suspended this major), Solid State and Materials, and General Physics (currently suspended this major)

2. Master’s degree grant: The Division of Student Affairs of Preliminary Studies issues orders for the government financial grant granted to eligible students in accordance with the instructions. The Division of Graduate Student Affairs grants the graduate a Master of Science degree in the specializations prescribed in the departments (Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) as follows:
   • Department of Life Sciences: (Botany, Microbiology, (Genetics until 2015/2016) Now this specialization, Zoology, Ecology has been suspended)

3. Organizing forms: The Division of Graduate Student Affairs organizes application and admission forms, follows up on students’ affairs in the study and research stage, and grants documents to graduates.
