In cooperation with the coordination of Women Empowerment and the committee of women’s affairs at the Iraqi Journalist union, the Continuing Education held a workshop on the art of Etiquette. The workshop presented by Prof. Dr. Shaymaa Salih, Lect. Rana Hilan and Lect. Turkia Muhammad was attended by a number of faculty and students.

The workshop introduced the concept of Etiquette from the perspectives of the French and British schools. The lecturers stated the most important general rules of etiquette at home, work and street, as well as the art of dealing with family, friends, co-workers and elderly. They also showed the differences among generations in terms of priorities, behaviors and manners and the negative impact of new technologies, movies and TV shows that promote for behaviors far from the traditions and well-mannered behaviors on the new generations. The lecturer asserted the importance of family for a better community.
