Women Empowerment unit at the College of Science for Women discussed in a workshop presented by Assit. Prof. Samara Jasim, Assit. Prof. Noor Yasoob and Assit. Lect. Mervat Dawood on the cultural awareness of using plasma as a cosmetic medical device for Women. Throughout the workshop, a detailed explanation was given on the concept of plasma as well as on the devices that work by the technology of plasma such as “Plasmage” which treats chronic wounds, burns, skin diseases, plastic surgeries and skin tightening. This technology is regarded to be safe and effective. The workshop also displayed a number of devices such as “plasma pen” which is used easily at home.
