Objectives of the Dissertation <\/div><\/span>

  1. Prepare nano composite of TiO2<\/sub>: CdS thin films NS using the sol-gel technique and dipping method on glass substrates and study their structural, surface morphology, and optical properties.<\/li>\n
  2. Prepare nano composite of CdS: TiO2<\/sub> Thin films NS on glass substrates for photocatalytic purposes to remove methyl red and blue dyes from water.<\/li>\n
  3. Deposit gold as island- like on the surfaces of the two prepared films using plasma sputtering and study its effect on the efficiency of the photocatalytic process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    [vc_column_text css=””]dissertation also includes the synthesis and characterization of Au\/TiO2<\/sub>\u200b:CdS and Au\/CdS:TiO2<\/sub> nano composite \u00a0\u00a0thin \u00a0films\u00a0 \u00a0for \u00a0photocatalytic applications. The structural, morphological, chemical \u00a0and optical properties of the nanoparticles were studied using several examinations (XRD, AFM, FE-SEM, EDX, RS, UV-VIS).[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

    Dissertation Recommendations<\/div><\/span>
    [vc_column_text css=””]: <\/strong>The most important recommendations which the study has come up with and the average obtained.<\/p>\n

    1. Study the effect of adding other ceramic materials for TiO2<\/sub> and CdS on photocatalysis.<\/li>\n
    2. A study of prepared powder from the two composites accredited in this study and compared the degradation efficiency of the thin film and powder.<\/li>\n
    3. Study the addition of gold as a doping of the TiO2<\/sub>:CdS film and its effect on the degradation organic dye.<\/li>\n
    4. Study the use of Ag or Cu instead of gold and its effect on the photocatalysis<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
