Objectives of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
[vc_column_text css=””]The significance of this study lies in the preparation of Schiff bases derived from hydrazine compounds, which are then utilized to synthesize a new series of complexes with first-row transition elements. These complexes have been employed as antibacterial and antifungal agents, and their thermal stability has been evaluated.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

Content of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
[vc_column_text css=””]: The study was conducted at the University of Baghdad, College of Science for Women, Department of Chemistry, while the biological activity measurements were carried out at the laboratories of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Directorate of Environmental, Water, and Renewable Energy Research, Baghdad. The work included analyses such as infrared (IR), ultraviolet\u2013visible (UV\u2013Vis) spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, chloride content, metal percentage, and melting point determination.<\/p>\n

[vc_column_text css=””]The most important recommendations reached by the thesis are:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Preparation of new Schiff bases derived from the synthesized ligands, with the possibility of forming new complexes with other metal ions, studying their structural features using spectroscopic methods, investigating their effects, and evaluating their activity and stability.<\/li>\n
  2. Conducting studies on the biological activity of the synthesized compounds using other types of bacteria and fungi and assessing their effectiveness.<\/li>\n
  3. Investigating the activity of the synthesized compounds as antioxidants and anticancer agents.<\/li>\n
  4. Replacing the metal ions used in this study with new metal ions, such as cadmium and palladium, to form complexes with the same synthesized ligand.<\/li>\n
  5. Exploring the potential application of the synthesized Schiff bases and their complexes in medical fields and in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly as antibiotics, due to their ability to inhibit bacterial growth<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
