Objectives of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
[vc_column_text css=””]The importance of this study Measurement of GSK3\u03b2 and Arrestien \u03b2-1 in patients with metabolic disorders and (T2DM patients with obesity) and their relationship to oxidative stress that causes metabolic disorders.<\/p>\n

  • To estimate the level of GSK3\u03b2 in patients with metabolic disorders.<\/li>\n
  • To estimate the level of Arrestie \u03b2-1 in patients with metabolic disorders .<\/li>\n
  • To find the relationship between GSK3\u03b2 and Arrestien \u03b2- 1, and determining the association with insulin resistance .<\/li>\n
  • To determine the association of both GSK3\u03b2 and Arrestien\u03b2-1 with other biochemical parameters as well as with oxidative stress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Content of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
    [vc_column_text css=””]This study was conducted at the College of Science for Women, University of Baghdad.A total of 135 participants were enrolled from Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital and were divided in to three groups. The participants aged (30 -55) years. Instead of\u00a0 the groups were divided according to body mass index and metabolic diseases into three groups:The control group (G1= 46) healthy individuals who did not suffer from obesity, diabetes, or any other diseases, metabolic diseases group(G2= 45) and\u00a0 T2DM with obesity group (G3=44) . The study included healthy people, patients dyslipidemia,hyperglycemia and obesity and T2DM with obesity.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

    1. Study the relationship between GSK3\u03b1 and Arrestin\u03b2-2 by taking samples from overweight individuals without any medical conditions, particularly those aged 10-30.<\/li>\n
    2. Study the relationship between GSK3\u03b1 and Arrestin\u03b2-4, as they only suffer from obesity, cancer, and neurological dysfunction.<\/li>\n
    3. Studying the role of GSK-3\u03b1 and Arrestin\u03b2-2 in Alzheimer’s disease and the effects of GSK-3\u03b1 inhibition on memory and learning.<\/li>\n
    4. Studying the relationship between GSK-3\u03b1 and Arrestin\u03b2-2 psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and depression.<\/li>\n
    5. Studying of the role of GSK-3\u03b2 and Arrestin\u03b2-1\u00a0 in T1DM patients receiving insulin injections<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
