{"id":8612,"date":"2025-06-20T16:53:04","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T13:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8612"},"modified":"2025-06-20T16:53:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T13:53:04","slug":"training-course-entitled-types-of-electronic-sensors-and-their-applications-in-practical-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8612","title":{"rendered":"Training Course Entitled: &#8220;Types of Electronic Sensors and Their Applications in Practical Life&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim,<br \/>\nthe Department of Physics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course entitled:<br \/>\n&#8220;Types of Electronic Sensors and Their Applications in Practical Life.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe course was presented by<br \/>\nDr. Haider Yahya Hammoud, Head of the Department of Physics, Dr. Zainab Hossam Musa, and Engineer Mirvet Dawood Majid.<br \/>\nThe course was attended by a number of faculty members and staff from the college.<br \/>\nThe training presented the operational mechanism of electronic sensors through four main stages:<br \/>\nPhysical Quantity \u2013 the physical phenomenon to be measured, such as temperature, pressure, light intensity, acceleration, etc.<br \/>\nSensing Element and Signal Conversion \u2013 the component that detects the physical quantity and converts it into an electrical signal.<br \/>\nSignal Conditioning \u2013 involves amplifying and filtering the signal and adjusting it to be ready for digital processing.<br \/>\nOutput \u2013 where the processed signal is sent to the microcontroller unit for further actions.<br \/>\nThe course also included statistical insights on the practical applications of electronic sensors:<br \/>\nIn smart homes, where 42% of homes in North America are equipped with such technologies, energy savings can reach up to 30% due to lighting and temperature sensors.<br \/>\nIn smart vehicles, a single car may contain over 100 sensors, including radars, LiDARs, and cameras.
