The workshop was presented by Ms. Huda Imad Al-Din Jameel, Ms. Fatima Ahmed Shehab, and Ms. Sama Mohammed Ezzat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop aimed to highlight the significant role mathematics has played throughout history and its central contribution to the advancement of human thought and various scientific disciplines\u2014particularly in the field of engineering. It reviewed the origins and early development of mathematics during ancient civilizations such as the Egyptian and Babylonian, the contributions of mathematicians during the Islamic Golden Age, and the evolution of mathematics into the modern era, where it has become the universal language of the exact sciences and an indispensable tool in research and development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, the workshop addressed key practical applications of mathematics across various branches of engineering, including civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering. It demonstrated how mathematical concepts are employed in the design of bridges and buildings, the analysis of electrical systems, system modeling, and the development of algorithms and software.
