It stressed the role of chemistry in understanding environmental processes such as pollution, climate change, and the decomposition of organic materials. It also discussed how living organisms depend on chemical interactions with the environment for survival, such as the process of photosynthesis in plants.<br \/>\nThe workshop further emphasized the importance of maintaining chemical balance in the environment to ensure the sustainability of life, and the necessity for chemistry to serve the environment by developing innovative technologies to reduce pollution, promote sustainable energy, and protect natural resources.
