Under the patronage of Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific workshop titled “Advanced Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare,” presented by Dr. Safa Sami Abdul Jabar.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of advanced artificial intelligence in healthcare, which has become an integral part of modern developments in the field. AI plays a key role in improving the quality of healthcare, accelerating medical diagnoses, and providing personalized treatments. AI is used to analyze medical images, such as X-rays and MRI scans, to detect diseases like cancer and heart conditions. Additionally, AI contributes to customizing treatments based on patient data and genetic analysis, which helps in selecting the most effective treatment for each patient.<\/p>\n

The workshop emphasized AI’s potential in predicting the risk of diseases, such as diabetes or strokes, and offering preventive recommendations. It also discussed AI-supported robots that assist surgeons in performing precise and advanced surgeries, reducing errors, and improving patient outcomes. Furthermore, the workshop covered the use of AI in managing big data, optimizing hospital operations such as appointment scheduling, inventory management, and supporting patients through virtual assistants to monitor their health, provide medical and psychological advice, and remind them to take their medications.<\/p>\n
