Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Physics, organized a training course titled “Physical Therapy: Its Types and the Devices Used”<\/em>. The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Samira Jassim Mohammed and Assistant Professor Dr. Doser Hussein Ghaib, and it took place in the department’s hall with the attendance of the department’s students.<\/p>\n

The aim of the course was to introduce students to some of the devices used in physical therapy, which are available in private physical therapy clinics. The course also covered how these devices work, their operating principles, and the benefits they offer. Among the most notable devices discussed were those concerned with infrared radiation, ultrasound machines, and electrical stimulation devices.<\/p>\n

The lecturers explained the function of a neck massager, a tool designed to relieve tension and pain in the neck and shoulder areas. It helps improve blood circulation and reduces muscle stiffness. The lecturers noted that massage devices vary depending on the technology used and their design. An additional practical example was provided on the use of an electric palm massager, a device used to massage the hand and palm using electrical techniques. The device typically operates with electric motors that generate vibrations or massage movements, helping to relieve tension and muscle tightness in the hands. The mechanism of operation for this device was also explained.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
