Master\u2019s<\/span> Discussion<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad discussed the Master\u2019s thesis entitled Comparison of the Effect of Cold Plasma and Laser on the Properties of Polypyrrole (PPy) Thin Films Prepared by Electrochemical Deposition by the student Hadeer Kamel Abdul Hai.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Objectives of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
[vc_column_text css=””]Thin films of the conductive polymer polypyrrole (PPy) were prepared by electrochemical deposition on ITO glass substrates. The prepared films were then treated using cold plasma and a continuous-wave diode laser at different exposure times.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

  1. In this study, thin films of polypyrrole (PPy) were prepared using a simple and effective electrochemical deposition method. The physical properties of the prepared films were investigated, including structural properties using XRD, morphological properties using AFM, optical properties using UV\u2013Vis, chemical properties using FTIR, and electrical properties using the Hall effect.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The PPy thin films were treated with cold plasma for different exposure times (5, 10, 15, and 20 min) and with a continuous-wave diode laser at a wavelength of 650 nm and a power of 100 mW for exposure times of 1 and 5 min. The results showed that both treatments improved the properties of the PPy thin films, with the effects depending on the treatment time. The cold plasma treatment produced the highest electrical conductivity at 20 min, reaching approximately 72 (\u03a9\u00b7cm)\u207b\u00b9, while the laser showed a more pronounced effect at shorter exposure times. The XRD results showed that the best crystallite size for the plasma-treated samples was obtained at 10 min, while the average crystallite size of the laser-treated samples was approximately 34.21 nm at 5 min.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
