{"id":13992,"date":"2026-07-01T11:31:06","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T08:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=13992"},"modified":"2026-09-06T11:51:39","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T08:51:39","slug":"training-course-on-the-law-of-state-and-public-sector-employees-discipline-no-14-of-1991-as-amended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=13992","title":{"rendered":"Training Course on the Law of State and Public Sector Employees\u2019 Discipline No. (14) of 1991, as Amended"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Legal Division, organized a training course entitled <strong>\u201cThe Law of State and Public Sector Employees\u2019 Discipline No. (14) of 1991, as Amended.\u201d<\/strong> The course was presented by Dr. Abbas Hadi Abd and Ms. Abeer Mohammed Abbas. It was held in the Guest Hall and attended by a number of faculty members and staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course aimed to introduce the key provisions of the Law of State and Public Sector Employees\u2019 Discipline, with particular emphasis on employees\u2019 duties and the restrictions imposed upon them. This contributes to strengthening professional compliance and promoting the ethical principles of public service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course addressed the duties of employees stipulated in Article (4) of the Law, including performing official duties accurately and honestly, adhering to official working hours, refraining from leaving the workplace before the end of working hours, respecting the work environment and supervisors, and carrying out lawful orders issued by the competent authorities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course also emphasized the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of official information and documents and refraining from disclosing data related to the institution\u2019s work. In addition, it highlighted the necessity of dealing courteously and respectfully with visitors and responding to their inquiries in a manner that contributes to enhancing the quality of institutional performance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course further addressed the prohibitions stipulated in Article (5) of the Law, most notably holding two positions simultaneously, exploiting one\u2019s position for personal gain, disclosing work-related secrets and official documents, violating laws and instructions, being absent from work or leaving the workplace without authorization, as well as damaging public property or using it for personal purposes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course also covered disciplinary penalties and their implications for an employee\u2019s professional status in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law.
