  1. To assess levels of syndican-2 and syndican-3 in individuals with(T2DM)<\/li>\n
  2. To determine level of\u00a0 syndican-2 and syndican-3 in patemt T2DM with complication<\/li>\n
  3. To assess the relationship between syndican-2 and syndican-3 and various biochemical markers .<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Content of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>

      \n
    1. \u00a0The study was conducted at the Department of Chemistry, College of Science for Women, University of Baghdad, and Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, Iraq, from September to October 2025. Serum levels of Syndecan-2 and Syndecan-3 were measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique with a Human Reader HS. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) was measured using a Siemens Healthineers analyzer. In addition, lipid profile parameters, including total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and fasting blood glucose (FBG), were measured using a Huma Reader HS UV-Vis spectrophotometer (USA).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Recommendation of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>

        \n
      1. Measure levels of Syndecan-2 and Syndecan-3 as potential biomarkers for early endothelial damage in T2DM patients.<\/li>\n
      2. Stress on strict glycemic control especially HbA1c and a proper lipid management to decrease the endothelial glycocalyx damage and shed syndecans<\/li>\n
      3. To perform larger multicenter studies with a more diverse population to set reference ranges and cut-off values for Syndecan biomarkers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Evaluate different glucose-lowering and lipid-lowering drugs on the levels of Syndecan and their impact on endothelial glycocalyx integrity.<\/li>\n
        2. Patients with T2DM should be encouraged to have a healthy lifestyle to reduce oxidative stress and diabetes related complications; including regular exercise and a balanced diet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          6.More research is required to understand the relationship between Syndecan biomarkers and the occurrence of chronic complications of diabetes such as cardiovascular\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0and renal diseases.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>
