The workshop was held in <strong>Abdul Hakim Hall<\/strong> and presented by the Rapporteur of the Department of Computer Science, <strong>Dr. Ammar Hussein<\/strong>, <strong>Ms. Heba Imad<\/strong>, and <strong>Ms. Inas Ahmed<\/strong>, with the attendance of a number of academic staff, employees, and students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop began with an introduction to artificial intelligence as a branch of computer science concerned with the design and development of systems capable of simulating human intelligence, including learning, reasoning, decision-making, and natural language understanding. It aims to enable computers to perform tasks that typically require human intervention through the use of algorithms and data-driven approaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It further addressed the distinction between traditional artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence in terms of mechanisms and applications. The session also presented an overview of how <strong>ChatGPT<\/strong> operates, explaining the principles underlying its text and response generation. In addition, it provided essential guidelines on how to formulate effective prompts in order to obtain accurate and logically coherent outputs, as well as best practices for integrating this technology into educational environments, whether in lecture preparation, research support, or the development of students\u2019 skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop emphasized the importance of the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence tools, while raising awareness of both the capabilities and limitations of such technologies.
