{"id":12722,"date":"2026-04-22T10:40:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T07:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12722"},"modified":"2026-06-08T10:49:25","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T07:49:25","slug":"continuing-education-unit-organizes-a-workshop-on-x-ray-diffraction-xrd-analysis-using-high-expert-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12722","title":{"rendered":"Continuing Education Unit Organizes a Workshop on X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Analysis Using High Expert Software"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"115\" data-end=\"669\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, <strong data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"220\">Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim<\/strong>, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Physics, organized a workshop entitled <strong data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"439\">\u201cFrom Data Input to Results Interpretation: X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Analysis Using High Expert Software.\u201d<\/strong> The workshop was presented by<strong data-start=\"470\" data-end=\"506\">\u00a0Dr. Nada Khudair Abbas<\/strong> and<strong data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"554\">\u00a0Dr. Anwar Ali Baqir<\/strong> and was held in the <strong data-start=\"575\" data-end=\"595\">Abdul Hakim Hall<\/strong>, with the attendance of a number of faculty members, staff, and students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"1184\">The workshop provided a comprehensive explanation of the <strong data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"755\">X-ray Diffraction (XRD)<\/strong> technique, covering all stages from data input to the analysis and interpretation of results using the specialized <strong data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"886\">High Expert<\/strong> software. It highlighted the practical applications of this important analytical technique in the characterization of solid materials, demonstrating how diffraction patterns can be interpreted to obtain information about crystal structures and identify the various phases present within materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1658\">In addition, the workshop addressed common analytical errors encountered during XRD data processing and discussed effective methods for overcoming them. A practical demonstration of the software was also presented, enabling participants to become familiar with the fundamental steps involved in data processing and accurate analysis. This hands-on approach contributed to the development of participants\u2019 practical skills and enhanced their understanding of the technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"2040\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The workshop featured active interaction between attendees and presenters, who emphasized the significance of XRD analysis as a vital field and one of the fundamental pillars of research in <strong data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1871\">Materials Physics<\/strong>.
