{"id":12635,"date":"2026-04-15T11:00:25","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12635"},"modified":"2026-06-07T11:08:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-07T08:08:53","slug":"workshop-entitled-high-performance-liquid-chromatography-hplc-instrument","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12635","title":{"rendered":"Workshop Entitled \u201cHigh-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Instrument\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, <strong>Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim<\/strong>, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, organized a workshop entitled <strong>\u201cHigh-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Instrument.\u201d<\/strong> The workshop was presented by<strong> Dr. Saadia Ahmed Dhahir, Ms. Raghad Abdul Basit Hamad, and Ms. Huraa Mahmoud Abdul Karim<\/strong>, with the attendance of a number of faculty members, staff members, and students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop provided a comprehensive explanation of the <strong>High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)<\/strong> system, one of the most important analytical techniques used for the separation, identification, and quantitative analysis of chemical compounds with high accuracy and sensitivity. The presenters explained the principal components of the instrument, including the pump, chromatographic column, detector, and solvent reservoir, in addition to describing the function and operational role of each component within the analytical process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop also covered the essential steps involved in conducting an HPLC analysis, beginning with sample preparation and the selection of the mobile and stationary phases, and extending to instrument operation, data acquisition, result interpretation, and chromatographic analysis. Furthermore, the presenters highlighted the major practical applications of HPLC in various fields, including chemistry, pharmaceutical industries, food analysis, and scientific research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop witnessed active engagement from the attendees through questions and discussions concerning the practical aspects of the technique.
