{"id":12513,"date":"2026-04-13T16:17:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:17:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12513"},"modified":"2026-06-05T16:33:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T13:33:49","slug":"scientific-workshop-water-chemistry-and-human-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=12513","title":{"rendered":"Scientific Workshop: Water Chemistry and Human Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, organized a scientific workshop entitled \u201cWater Chemistry and Human Health.\u201d The workshop was presented by Ms. Israa Hamoud Ibrahim, Ms. Sahar Thamer Aday, and Ms. Samara Ali Matar, and was attended by a number of faculty members, students, and individuals interested in scientific affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop addressed the importance of water as an essential element for life and highlighted its vital role in maintaining human health. It also discussed the chemical composition of water and its physical and chemical properties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, the workshop explored the different types and sources of water, as well as methods of water treatment and purification to ensure its suitability for human consumption. Particular emphasis was placed on chemical and biological contaminants that may affect water quality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, the workshop reviewed the impact of water quality on human health and examined the relationship between water pollution and the spread of certain diseases.
