The College of Science for women at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled( Correlation of C-terminal Cross-linked Telopeptide of Type II Collagen and 14-3-3 Eta Protein with Other Parameters in Sera of Iraqi Women Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis)<\/p>\n

Objectives of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
[vc_column_text css=””]The objectives of this study are summarized as follows:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. To evaluate the potential use of 14-3-3 eta protein, CTX-II, and Anti-CCP as biomarkers in the serum of Iraqi women patients with rheumatoid arthritis.<\/li>\n
  2. To determine the correlation between 14-3-3 eta protein and CTX-II in serums of Iraqi patients with rheumatoid arthritis and other clinical and biochemical parameters.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Other parameters, such as CRP, RF, CBC, ESR, and lipid profile, were also measured in both the patient and healthy control groups.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

    Content of the Thesis<\/div><\/span>
    [vc_column_text css=””]This study, which was conducted at the University of Baghdad \/ College of Science for Women \/ Department of Chemistry and Al Yarmouk Teaching Hospital and Al-Kadhimiya Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, between August to November 2024. Levels of 14-3-3 eta protein, CTX-II, anti-CCP antibodies, CRP and RF were measured using ELISA via the Human Reader HS device, while a complete blood count (CBC) was performed using a Sysmex XN-1000 analyzer, and the Westergren method was adopted for ESR analysis.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>

        1. Examining the functions of CTX-II and 14-3-3 eta protein in RA patients receiving various forms of treatment, taking treatment duration into account, to gain a better understanding of how these proteins affect disease outcomes.<\/li>\n
        2. Learning more about how these criteria are used to diagnose additional conditions systemic lupus erythematosus, and familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) illness, more research is required.<\/li>\n
        3. The study recommends adding more male samples for better comparison validity and comprehensiveness, as well as larger patient and controls samples for more lucid results.<\/li>\n
        4. Study the effect of duration of disease on patients with RA.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
