{"id":11708,"date":"2026-02-19T10:56:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T07:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11708"},"modified":"2026-02-19T11:14:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T08:14:13","slug":"thesis-in-college-of-science-for-women-discusses-studying-the-effect-of-gamma-ray-on-efficiency-of-gas-sensors-prepared-by-metal-oxide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11708","title":{"rendered":"Thesis in College of Science for Women discusses  (Studying the Effect of Gamma Ray on Efficiency of Gas Sensors Prepared by Metal Oxide)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; rtl_reverse=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1726859899671{margin-top: -150px !important;padding-top: 150px !important;padding-bottom: 60px !important;background-color: #f5f5f5 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<div class=\"cz_gap clr \" style=\"height: 50px\"><\/div><div id=\"cz_109604\" class=\"cz_109604 cz_title clr cz_mobile_text_center cz_title_pos_inline tac\"><div class=\"cz_title_content\"><div class=\"cz_wpe_content\"><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #102d5c; font-family: Montserrat;\"><span style=\"font-size: 38px;\"><span style=\"color: #102d5c;\"><span style=\"color: #f5c538;\">Master\u2019s<\/span> Discussion<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0College of Science for Women \/ University of Baghdad examined the thesis entitled (Studying the Effect of Gamma Ray on Efficiency of Gas Sensors Prepared by Metal Oxide) of the student<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Basima Jendail Obeid<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"relative\"><div id=\"cz_97039\" class=\"cz_97039 cz_line tal\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"clr\"><\/div><div class=\"cz_gap clr \" style=\"height: 50px\"><\/div><div id=\"cz_81239\" data-arrows='{\"open\":\"fa fa-angle-down\",\"close\":\"fa fa-angle-up\"}' class=\"cz_81239 cz_acc clr\"><div><div id=\"cz_43379\"><span class=\"cz_acc_child\"><i class=\"cz-acc-i cz-acc-icon fa czico-052-three-2\"><\/i><div>Objectives of the Thesis<\/div><\/span><div class=\"cz_acc_child_content clr\">[vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Study of the effect of thin film thickness on the efficiency of the gas sensor prepared from TiOF<sub>2<\/sub> and the effect of gamma rays on the efficiency of the gas sensor prepared from TiO<sub>2<\/sub>.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div><div id=\"cz_44265\"><span class=\"cz_acc_child\"><i class=\"cz-acc-i cz-acc-icon fa czico-052-three-2\"><\/i><div>Content of the Thesis<\/div><\/span><div class=\"cz_acc_child_content clr\">[vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]In this study, titanium oxyfluoride (TiOF<sub>2<\/sub>) and titanium oxide (TiO<sub>2<\/sub>) were used to manufacture gas sensors for detecting both H<sub>2<\/sub>S and NO<sub>2<\/sub> gasses, where thin films were deposited on quartz and silicon substrates.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; TiOF<sub>2<\/sub> with thicknesses of (110, 6, 131, 8, 142, and 158) nm using the DC sputtering method.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; TiO<sub>2<\/sub> with a thickness of 200 nanometers using radio frequency sputtering and exposed to gamma rays at doses of (0, 2.7, 14.4, and 23) kGy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; This is in order to study the effect of both thickness and gamma rays on the gas sensor&#8217;s efficiency at different temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>The study concluded that the best structural and morphological properties of TiOF<sub>2<\/sub> membranes were at a thickness of 110.6 nanometers, where the highest sensitivity of the TiOF<sub>2<\/sub> gas sensor was recorded at a temperature of 150 \u030aC for H<sub>2<\/sub>S gas and at 200 \u030aC for NO<sub>2<\/sub> gas.
