The harmonic oscillator atom model was employed based on the linear response theory of the electronic dielectric function.<\/li>\n<li>In this section, individual elements were examined and their energy loss function (ELF) was calculated at momentum values k = 0. The Drude function was adopted and modeled using Wolfram Mathematica 13.2, applying the atomic unit system to facilitate numerical calculations and integrations. The obtained results were compared with available experimental energy loss data for aluminum and copper. In addition, the wake potential and induced potential of a proton interacting with aluminum and copper were calculated, as well as the stopping power.<\/li>\n<li>In the second part, the energy loss function of NaCl and the bismuth\u2013antimony telluride alloy (Bi\u2080.\u2082\u2081Sb\u2080.\u2087\u2089)\u2082Te\u2083 was studied using two types of dielectric functions: the Drude\u2013Lorentz model and the approximate plasmon-pole model.
