Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit, organized a workshop entitled \u201cEducation Is Women\u2019s Power to Build a Better Future.\u201d The workshop was presented by Dr. Solaf Abdul Khudair and Dr, Shaimaa Saleh Mahdi.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of education as a fundamental human right and a key pillar for improving the quality of life for families and society. It emphasized education\u2019s vital role in broadening women\u2019s horizons on both personal and professional levels, and in enhancing their participation in economic and social development pathways.<\/p>\n

The workshop discussed the main challenges facing women\u2019s education, particularly economic burdens, the distance of educational institutions in some areas, the impact of certain social norms and traditions, as well as challenges related to infrastructure and the educational environment.<\/p>\n

It also shed light on the positive economic impact of women\u2019s education, as educated women contribute to improving family income, increasing employment opportunities, and participating in development projects. This, in turn, helps reduce poverty and unemployment rates and supports economic growth.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the workshop addressed the importance of women\u2019s education in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, and its role in promoting entrepreneurship, contributing to addressing environmental challenges, building sustainable industries, and achieving equality in the labor market.<\/p>\n

The workshop concluded by emphasizing that educated women represent a fundamental pillar for positive change through their active participation in economic and social decision-making, leading sustainability initiatives, preserving the environment, promoting the values of peace and justice, and building a more aware and inclusive society\u2014 in line with the mission of the College and its objectives in serving the community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
