{"id":10403,"date":"2025-11-23T11:57:32","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T08:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10403"},"modified":"2025-11-30T12:03:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-30T09:03:35","slug":"youth-without-drugs-a-future-without-darkness-an-awareness-workshop-at-the-college-of-science-for-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.csw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10403","title":{"rendered":"\u201cYouth Without Drugs, a Future Without Darkness\u201d: An Awareness Workshop at the College of Science for Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim , and in conjunction with the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, the Scientific Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Physics, organized an awareness workshop entitled \u201cYouth Without Drugs, a Future Without Darkness.\u201d The workshop was presented by Prof. Hiba Khudair Abbas, Ms. Noor Hassan Rashim, and Ms. Shahad Dhafer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop was held in support of national awareness programs and the promotion of protective values against risks threatening young people. It aimed to enhance students\u2019 physical and psychological awareness and to empower them to avoid risky behaviors that negatively impact their lives and futures. The presenters provided a simplified explanation of the common types of drugs and their effects on the brain and body, in addition to clarifying the psychological and social consequences faced by individuals who misuse drugs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop also addressed the methods used by drug promoters to lure young people, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, decision-making skills, and the ability to refuse harmful behaviors.
