The Department of Mathematics was established in 1984 as one of the departments of the College of Education for Girls, and in 2002, the College of Education was divided into the College of Education for Girls, which includes the humanitarian departments, and the College of Science for Girls, which includes the scientific departments, including the Department of Mathematics, the morning study, the evening study began in the department in 1996, while postgraduate studies began in the department since 2011.<\/p>\n

The Department of Mathematics seeks to achieve excellence in the field of teaching mathematics for primary and postgraduate studies through the education of the student and the development of her mental and personal abilities and qualifies her to have a positive role in the process of development and comprehensive construction. The department also seeks to achieve the requirements of quality and university accreditation by applying quality standards in an atmosphere characterized by independence and close cooperation with the departments of the college and other corresponding departments, as well as research centers spread throughout Iraq, which contributes to achieving development in all areas of life. The mission of the department in the completion of these programs is through the provision of educational opportunities for theoretical classes associated with scientific laboratories.This message is implemented through participation and encouragement between the faculty and students within the general line of the Deanship of the College under the slogan “The best department with the best quality”.<\/p>\n
