The Medical Physics Laboratory for postgraduate studies is concerned with conducting experiments related to physical phenomena and their medical applications in order to keep pace with scientific development in the field of medical physics. The importance of this laboratory lies in laying solid foundations for introducing future doctors to the principles of physical applications of human body functions and the devices used to calculate physical variables in the body for diagnosis, treatment and benefit from… Modern physical applications such as plasma, lasers and nanomaterials in biological and medical fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Thermodynamics Laboratory for the second stage means introducing students to the various experiments related to thermodynamics and training them on how to deal with the devices, in addition to supporting the theoretical ideas they are studying. Developing students\u2019 experimental skills and deepening the spirit of research and discovery. The student acquires information about the methods of transferring thermal energy, the effect of thermal energy on materials, and how to classify materials based on their ability to transfer thermal energy. Introducing the student to how to calculate the specific heat of a metal. Introducing the student to how to find the coefficient of longitudinal expansion of a metal. Introducing the student to how to calculate the value of the heat capacity of the calorimeter and knowing its characteristics. Introducing the student to how to determine the value of the thermo-mechanical equivalent (Joule equivalent) using the electrical method and based on the principle of energy conservation. Teaching students how to determine the thermal conductivity coefficient for poorly conductive materials and good conductive materials, and how to find the latent heat of fusion.<\/span><\/p>\n
