The Human Rights Unit is a fundamental pillar in promoting the values of justice, integrity, tolerance, and respect for human dignity and rights within the college community. The Unit seeks to disseminate a culture of human rights awareness and enhance understanding of regulations, rights, and responsibilities among all college members, including faculty, administrative staff, and students. This contributes to creating a safe, sustainable, and inclusive educational environment free from all forms of discrimination and misconduct.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]

      1. Awareness and Educational Activities<\/h4>\n

      Promoting Human Rights Culture:<\/strong>
      \nOrganizing seminars, lectures, and workshops to enhance awareness among university members regarding their academic and professional rights and responsibilities.<\/p>\n

      Introducing University Regulations:<\/strong>
      \nPreparing and distributing guides and publications (both digital and printed) explaining university regulations, such as students\u2019 rights and responsibilities, executive rules, and policies related to anti-bullying and anti-harassment.<\/p>\n

      Awareness Campaigns:<\/strong>
      \nLaunching periodic campaigns to promote academic integrity, equality, and equal opportunities.<\/p>\n

      2. Protection and Advisory Services<\/h4>\n

      Receiving Complaints and Grievances:<\/strong>
      \nReceiving complaints and inquiries from students or staff who believe they have been subjected to injustice or discrimination and handling such cases with complete confidentiality.<\/p>\n

      Investigation and Review:<\/strong>
      \nExamining complaints and grievances objectively and impartially, then submitting recommendations and reports to the College Dean\u2019s Office or the relevant university authorities.<\/p>\n

      Providing Guidance and Support:<\/strong>
      \nOffering preliminary legal and academic consultations to the parties involved in disputes to facilitate amicable resolutions and safeguard rights before escalation.<\/p>\n

      3. Promoting an Inclusive Environment and Monitoring Practices<\/h4>\n

      Monitoring Practices:<\/strong>
      \nContinuously monitoring the university environment to identify any practices or behaviors that may constitute violations of human rights, such as discrimination, bullying, or barriers affecting accessibility for persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n

      Supporting Vulnerable Groups:<\/strong>
      \nEnsuring that educational environments and facilities are adapted to meet the needs of students with disabilities and that they receive their full academic rights.<\/p>\n

      Periodic Reporting:<\/strong>
      \nPreparing annual or semi-annual reports for university administration, including statistics on achievements, challenges, and recommendations for enhancing the human rights environment within the university.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
